We are pleased to have Dr. Ahmad Lashkaripour for this session, who will be presenting his research on 'Profits, Scale Economies, and the Gains from Trade and Industrial Policy' Dr. Ahmad Lashkaripour is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Indiana University, US. He received his Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University in 2014. His research is focused on quantifying the consequences of globalization and international trade agreements. Ahmad's work has been published in the American Economic Journal, the Journal of International Economics, and the Journal of the European Economics Association. His current research measures the effectiveness of trade policy in tackling misallocation and climate change
