Baithaks are the history society's signature activity, bringing to campus a vibrant space for intellectual engagement. It is an opportunity for the student body to gather in an open-air location with the history program's esteemed academic scholars to have an informal, yet informed conversation about various historical themes/events/thoughts.
Baithak on 14th Nov was led by Sajjad Ahmed who holds an MA in International Relations and is currently teaching a variety of courses at IBA relating to history and politics.
The conversation centered around the current potentialities and limitations of student politics and their historical roots. In the session, it has been explored how the past of student politics in Pakistan continues to impact its scope in the present.
